Hammonton, NJ – March 2011 – On March 30, 2011 ASIS South Jersey Chapter 170 held their annual Law Enforcement Recognition Banquet at Valleybrook Country Club in Blackwood, NJ. EPP is proud to support this event once again.

This year, ASIS Chapter 170 honored over 50 local Police Officers from 14 police departments throughout Southern New Jersey that went “above and beyond the call of duty” during 2010. This annual event has recognized over 300 law enforcement professionals over the past 6 years.

“We are pleased to support the efforts of ASIS Chapter 170 and the first responder and law enforcement community,” said Eileen Unger, member of ASIS Chapter 170 and President and CEO of Emergency Preparedness Partnerships. “My father was a police officer, and so this is truly a cause that is near and dear to me heart…that’s why I became a member, and that’s why I am honored to be embraced by the community.”

EPP has aligned itself with the community because it’s a natural fit with disaster recovery and outage restoration planning and execution. Police officers are critical during catastrophic times, as they are needed to help keep the peace and reduce the chaos. In fact, the inclusion of law enforcement personnel into emergency planning is a best practice that all public utilities should follow.
