EPP specializes in the design, development, and execution of exercises – including drills, tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises – for emergency and incident management training. Our consultants are well- versed at simulating any typical emergency situation occurring within the energy or utility industry. We will provide an assessment detailing areas of improvement and provide solutions to closing any gaps in your process. Our team of experts is also available to be neutral third-party observers to any in-house exercises you perform.
EPP’s hands-on approach ensures that your company will benefit from our decades of real world emergency response and crisis management experience in the utility space, to help your organization better prepare for, respond to, communicate about, and recover from emergency events. All of our training programs meet or exceed the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
EPP will work with you to define the overall objectives of the exercise or drill, and will coordinate any necessary pre-planning meetings. From there, our expert team will design the optimal structure of each exercise, fully customized based on the scope of your organization’s needs as well as your budget. As part of the overall process, we will develop written event scenarios and injects to be used during the actual exercise, and will identify and engage the appropriate stakeholders for planning and participation.
EPP’s expert training moderators will be onsite during the day of the actual exercise, and will completely facilitate and execute every element of the session. EPP will ensure your employees get the most out of the exercise or drill by encouraging participation, and by providing in-session thought leadership and coaching to enhance the learning process and maximize the retention of the learned information.
EPP will facilitate the post-exercise debrief process, including the development of after-action reports to enable information gathering about lessons-learned. EPP will solicit, compile, analyze and deliver participant feedback for continuous learning, and will create and deliver written reports, presentations, and improvement plans with stakeholder input.
