Caffrey Named President of NJ Emergency Preparedness Association
Hammonton, NJ – July 2008 – Michael Caffrey has been elected to the position of President of the NJ Emergency Preparedness Association at the July 15, 2008 meeting of the Board of Directors. He has been in an acting capacity as President since February. Joining Mike on the Executive Committee are Jon Young, Borough of Roselle, Vice President; Jeff Doran, Mutualink, Treasurer; and Ed Conover, Atlantic County OEM, Secretary.
Caffrey is the Vice President of Operations for Emergency Preparedness Partnerships (EPP). He has more than 43 years of experience in the utility industry. This role is near and dear to Caffrey’s heart, as emergency management, emergency preparedness, and storm restoration represent the 3 main pillars of his storied career. “The mission of this organization is so important, and I’m privileged to work with such an outstanding group of hard-working individuals,” said Mike.
The mission of the organization is to provide education and training by hosting an annual NJ Emergency Preparedness Conference for all persons and agencies involved in the emergency management field. The annual conference provides training, coordination, and promotes the development of public & private partnerships in planning, response, recovery and mitigation in all types of emergencies. It is considered an important educational event, and it is always extremely well attended.
