EPP’s Caffrey Published in Electric Light & Power

 In EPP in the News

Hammonton, NJ – August 2010 EPP is pleased to announce that an article co-authored by Mike Caffrey, Vice President of Operations with EPP, and Anil Jayavarapu, from Avineon, has been published in Electric Light & Power, Powegrid International. The article focuses on the importance of emergency restoration training and exercising plans – a theme that is very important to EPP.

The key to preparedness lies with having adequate resources trained and experienced in using emergency processes and plans. The most successful organizations develop comprehenive and effective plans and then conduct various levels of exercises and drills to ensure that personnel – especially employees with storm or second roles – are familiar with what to do when the emergency strikes.

“I am honored to have been published in such a well respected publication like Electric Light & Power,” said Caffrey. “The article deals with subject matter that is near and dear to my heart, and I have a lot of expertise to share…so I am glad that Electric Light & Power agreed!”

Emergency Preparedness Partnerships (EPP) is a firm specializing in utility emergency preparedness and storm restoration.  In his role at EPP, Caffrey conducts emergency training drills for client utilities, overseas utility emergency plan auditing projects, and runs the day-to-day internal operations of the business.  Caffrey previously served as manager of emergency preparedness for PEPCO Holdings Inc.
